01Download an Instagram Story in 4 steps
Open the StoryIn Instagram, open the Story or highlight you want to save. It must be from a public account.
Copy its linkTap the ⋯ (more) button on the Story, then Copy link. For a highlight, open it and use the same menu.
Paste into SSTIKOpen the Instagram downloader, paste the link and tap Download.
Save each slideEvery slide of the Story is shown separately. Download the photos and videos you want.
02Save it before it disappears
A normal Story is deleted after 24 hours, and after that it can't be downloaded. Highlights stay on the profile until the owner removes them, so you can save those at any time.
03Is downloading anonymous?
You don't log in to SSTIK with your Instagram account, so the download is not linked to your profile. If you open the Story in the Instagram app first to copy its link, you will appear in the viewer list as usual.
Only Stories from public accounts can be saved. Stories from private accounts, or "Close friends" Stories, are not available.
04Where the files are saved
- Android: the Download folder, visible in Files and Gallery.
- iPhone: Files → Downloads. Tap the file, then Share → Save Video (or Save Image). See the iPhone guide.
- PC and Mac: your browser's Downloads folder.
05If the Story won't download
- The Story may have expired (older than 24 hours) or been deleted.
- The account may be private.
- Copy the link again. It must point to a Story or highlight, not to the profile.
