04How to choose a safe Twitter / X downloader

It should never ask for your X password. Only type that on the official app or website.

Skip sites that push you to allow notifications or install an extension just to download one video.

Check the address bar. Look-alike names are common — SSTIK is always sstik.top.

Look for MP3 and photo support if you save more than videos — it saves you from juggling several sites.

Only public posts can be downloaded safely. A tool that promises private videos is a warning sign.

Frequently asked questions

Is SSTIK a good SSSTwitter alternative?

Yes. SSTIK saves public X videos and GIFs in the qualities X stores, shows every video in multi-video posts, can save the sound as MP3, and needs no login.

Can I download Twitter videos as MP3?

Yes. Paste the post link and tap Download. When the video appears, tap Download audio (MP3).

Why are Twitter GIFs saved as MP4?

X turns every GIF into a short silent MP4 so it loads faster. That MP4 is the original file, and it loops in most players.

Do x.com and twitter.com links both work?

Yes. Links from x.com, twitter.com, mobile.twitter.com and t.co all work.

Can I download videos from protected accounts?

No. Posts from protected accounts are only visible to approved followers, so they can't be downloaded.

How do I save an X video on iPhone?

Use Safari, paste the link on SSTIK and tap Download, then move the file from Files to Photos. See our iPhone guide for every step.
